Terms of Service

1. Agreement to these Terms

By accessing or using the Sentry website, demo, and related services, including any browser extension, software, or features we provide, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use Sentry.

2. Who we are

Sentry provides tools designed to help users detect potentially sensitive information before it is shared with AI tools or other third parties. Sentry may include a website, interactive demo experiences, and a browser extension. Some features may be provided in beta or early access.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Sentry. You represent that you have the authority to agree to these Terms on behalf of yourself or the organization you use Sentry for.

4. Accounts and waitlist

You may provide your email address to join a waitlist or request early access. You agree to provide accurate information and keep it up to date. Joining a waitlist does not guarantee access or availability of any product, feature, pricing, or timeline.

5. Beta and early access

Some parts of Sentry may be offered as beta, preview, or early access. These features may change, have limited functionality, contain bugs, or be discontinued. You understand that beta features are provided as is and that you use them at your own risk.

6. The demo

The Sentry demo is provided for evaluation purposes only. The demo may simulate detection behaviors and may not represent final product performance. You are responsible for what you type into the demo. Do not enter real confidential information, real credentials, real customer data, or regulated data into the demo unless you have a lawful basis and authorization to do so.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse Sentry. You will not violate any law or regulation, attempt to reverse engineer or access source code except as allowed by law, bypass security controls, interfere with operations, upload malware, or use Sentry to develop a competing product.

8. Your content and inputs

You retain your rights to the content you submit. You grant Sentry a limited license to process content as needed to provide and improve the services, troubleshoot, prevent abuse, and maintain security. You represent you have all rights and permissions needed to submit the content.

9. Privacy and data handling

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information. By using Sentry, you agree to the Privacy Policy.

10. Intellectual property

Sentry and all related content, software, designs, trademarks, and branding are owned by Sentry or its licensors. No rights are transferred except the limited right to use the services.

11. Feedback

If you provide feedback, you grant Sentry a perpetual, worldwide, royalty free license to use it without restriction or compensation.

12. Third party services

Sentry may reference or integrate with third party services. Those services are subject to their own terms and policies. Sentry is not responsible for third party services.

13. Disclaimers

Sentry is provided as is and as available. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation or that detection will identify all sensitive information. Detection may produce false positives or false negatives. You are responsible for what you share.

14. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sentry will not be liable for indirect or consequential damages. Sentry total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid to Sentry in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or one hundred dollars if you have not paid anything.

15. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Sentry and its affiliates from claims arising from your use of the services, your content, or your violation of these Terms.

16. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe you violated these Terms or created risk. You may stop using Sentry at any time.

17. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after updates means you accept the updated Terms.

18. Governing law and venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Disputes will be brought in state or federal courts located in California.

19. Severability

If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.

20. Entire agreement

These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement regarding your use of the services.
